On the occasion of this year’s Cantonale Berne Jura, the Kunsthalle Bern is dedicated to painterly practices. The focus is on pictures that can be viewed and discussed against the background of current debates on contemporary painting. In the show curated by Arthur Fink (freelance Curator, Zurich), Valérie Knoll (Director Kunsthalle Bern), and Geraldine Tedder (Assistant Curator Kunsthalle Bern), the question is raised as to what contemporary painting can tell us about the interweaving of bodies, media images, and digital technologies.
