On the occasion of the closing weekend of the exhibitions by Tai Shani and Jota Mombaça, as well as Vanessa Billy’s works in public space, Kunsthalle Bern invites you to an evening of polyphony — a space of resonance for exploring questions of collectivity, multiplicity of voices, and shared imagination.
17:00
Lecture by Barbara Preisig, art historian, art critic, and project lead of the research project Polyphony: A Speculation at ZHdK
18:00
Concert by FIMMENE!
Five voices of FIMMENE! resonate throughout Kunsthalle Bern. Drawing on an excerpt from the program DON’T LET YOUR HEART SMASH ON THE ROAD, they perform Georgian and Greek folk songs that evoke everyday experiences of precarious labour, loss, resistance, and longing. Through polyphonic singing and a selection of texts, FIMMENE! traces entangled life stories and women's histories, opening a space where personal and collective memory converge.
